control of their skating destiny in Tony Hawk's Proving Ground. Set in
the streets of Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., the title
literally empowers players with the freedom to define their character,
story and style based on the choices they make, the paths they select
and the style of skating they want. The game delivers deeper
customization than ever before, including a full-featured video editor
to create epic skate videos and a completely customizable online Skate
Lounge, where players can skate with friends in the ultimate pad. Gamers
also have the freedom to skate from single player to online seamlessly.
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground also features an arsenal of amazingly
detailed Nail the Trick moves, and new game play mechanics like
skateable terrain building and Bowl Carving to deliver the most
personalized and immersive skating experience ever. Tony Hawk's Proving
Ground is the latest installment in a franchise that has dominated the
skating genre for nearly ten years. When you play, you'll know why Tony
Hawk RULES! Not only is the game itself looking to up the ante on last
year’s Project 8— the first next-gen installment in the series— but the
tunage kicks a whole lot more ass than anything else out there {yeah...
we said it!}. The hip-hop and funk/soul alone is worth the price of
admission. If you’ve never heard Blackalicious, Percee P, Lyrics Born,
Cymande or Jimmy Castor Bunch, you might want to listen to everything
before you play so you don’t accidentally drop the controller mid-trick.
Yeah… the song selection is that good. In addition to the tripped out
pulsating sensational beats, there’s also plenty of rock, punk and metal
to get you going as well... there's even Nirvana!
For
all of you hardcore players out there {and you DO KNOW who you
are}... How you skate influences how you look. Hardcore guys will have
scars and look much tougher. Career gents are likely to be decked out in
sponsor labels. Once you've completed a story path, you'll unlock a
special uber goal specific to your skater type. You'll also have the
chance to build your own team of pros. The available roster depends on
which pros you met during the game. There’s replay value o’ plenty,
that’s for sure with this game. Trying to max out all of your stats,
complete all of the challenges, score all of the achievement points and
playing online is sure to keep you busy for a long time to come. For
this and numerous additional reasons {like Tony Hawk knows no boundaries
