Omaha Steaks is more than just a gourmet steak company; they are indeed all of this and so much that is rarely mentioned. But in the tradition of all true steak lovers [and those of us here at UPBEAT really pride ourselves as being proud carnivores], we'll start out with some of our all-time favorites from the fine folks over at Omaha Steaks. First up, the whiskey marinated top sirloins; you will inevitably see similar-looking versions of these steaks all over the place— at restaurants like TGIF and Chilies. But trust us, these are so NOT your average restaurant steaks, not by a long shot. The Omaha Steaks brand have a sweet, alluring, smoky barbeque marinade that adds such bold flavor and tenderness to this great grilling cut of beef it's pretty hard to imagine ever going back to a restaurant. Just throw these steaks on the grill and you will have the perfect BBQ experience. They also go great with some twice baked potatoes and corn on the cob with butter, roasted garlic, black pepper, paprika and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Wonderful for the summer BBQ season or the upcoming holiday BBQ season... starting up right about now. The taste of smooth whiskey permeates these spectacular cuts of meat, giving the taste buds a pleasurable experience from the very first bite! You can't possibly be satisfied with just one of these as we all went back for seconds! Getting a cooler full of these phenomenal cuts in the mail is so cool, and Omaha Steaks has a well-deserved reputation for their amazing selection of beef. They still say it's their corn-fed cows that make for such spectacular eating and given our experience, we agree! As for the New York strips, the steaks were well flavored, and we could tell they were wet aged since they permeated the senses with the depth and nuttiness of a good dry aged steak. The flavor of the meat wasn't very complex, but it was delicious. The filet was nice and tender, cooked perfectly to the medium we all chose when we prepared our incredible feast!

Next up we tried something so mouth watering that many of our editors became euphoric, Omaha Steaks' perfectly crafted stuffed filet mignons. If you ever feel compelled to impress some friends, in-laws or need to have a super quick back up for the "Why don't you let me cook dinner tonight?" remark... for a truly fancy well-thought out dinner, this is the right choice. This fabulous filet mignon is delicately stuffed with an exquisitely creamy mixture of Bleu Cheese, Shiitake Mushrooms, Onions, Madeira Wine and a delicate blend of spices. Here is what you do, get an absolutely wonderful bottle of wine (hint: Coppola Vineyards 2002 Rubicon— Napa Valley) and pair it up with some nice sides. We served everything up on a bed of sautéed spinach with sides of beer battered, deep fried asparagus covered with a homemade hollandaise sauce and a lovely sweet butter nut squash risotto. It worked for all of us. For dessert Flan was served with Jamaican blue mountain coffee and Frangelica liqueur. You will get no complaints about this meal we can assure you of that. A little word of advice, watch these while they are cooking a little closer than usual because they have been cut to be stuffed so they can cook a bit more quickly than a normal filet mignon.

Omaha Steaks creates, manufactures, markets and distributes a massive variety of premium steaks, red meats and other gourmet foods. As a member of OmahaSteaks.com, you can easily take advantage of a virtual plethora of truly convenient benefits and perks. You can store shipping and billing information for you and your receivers so you'll save time, every time you place an order. To make re-ordering more convenient, you can quickly review your previous orders, along with recipients' names, addresses, and items sent. We were 100% pleased with Omaha Steaks. This Christmas we sent a gift box to some families in need and one to a few of our esteemed colleagues on the West coast. No problems with either delivery; customer service was a breeze and the meat was wonderful and convenient! We have also discovered that the prices are often much less than those offered up at the local grocery store and the quality of the meat is far better. The specialty items are a cut above as well. We strongly recommend ALL of the gourmet cheesecakes as every last flavor is positively decadent and scrumptious. UB
